New York, NY, April 17, 2008 - LMCC's site-specific performance series launches the summer and the River To River Festival with Buglisi Dance Theatre's riveting world premiere Under the Buttonwood Tree.com (A Frenzy on the Floor), choreographed by Jacqulyn Buglisi with live music by the Aeros Wind
Quintet. This episodic, theatrical spectacle marries art and commerce by bringing to life touchstone moments in the history of the New York Stock Exchange. Under the Buttonwood Tree.com is commissioned by LMCC and specially created for Sitelines.

For information and directions contact LMCC at 212.219.9401 or visit www.lmcc.net/sitelines. Commencing with a resonating gong, the artists animate a sweeping, epic display that transforms the steps of Federal Hall and the New York Stock Exchange into a silkensheathed proscenium depicting the early days of the NYSE, from the signing of the 1792 Buttonwood Agreement to the passionate frenzy on the floor covered in ticker-tape madness. A renowned choreographer and former principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Artistic Director Jacqulyn Buglisi is distinguished for her poignant, theatrical repertoire, which fuses classical sensibility with intuitive movement. The musical selections for the work include music by Wynton Marsalis, John Corigliano and Jelly Roll Morton and a live performance by the Aeros Wind Quintet.

Sitelines is curated by Nolini Barretto, the series' founder and producer. Sitelines is made possible with support from Harkness Foundation for Dance, Morgan Stanley, and New York Mercantile Foundation.
